1. Definitions

In the context of these terms and conditions, the following words shall have the following meanings:
‘The Norfolk Constabulary’ means The Norfolk Constabulary, Child Protection and Abuse Investigation Working Group, based at Norfolk Constabulary, Operations and Communications Centre, Jubilee House, Falconers Chase, Wymondham, Norfolk, NR18 0WW

"The Children's Society" means Church of England Children's Society, a charity registered under number Charity registration number: 221124, Company registration number: 40004-C England, VAT registration number 626649317; having its registered office at Edward Rudolf House, Margery Street, London WC1X 0JL;

"Website" means csepoliceandprevention.org.uk, a website under the control of The Children's Society from which a link has been created to these terms and conditions;

" Material" means all of the information, data, text, graphics, links or computer code published on, contained or available on the Website;

"User" means the individual, firm, company or organisation accessing this Website (‘you’)..

2. Applicable terms and conditions

2.1 The Website is owned and operated by The Children’s Society (“We”), and the Material has been delivered by The Norfolk Constabulary, and any use made of this site, are subject to these terms and conditions. The Children’s Society may, at its sole discretion, modify or revise these terms and conditions at any time by updating the text of this page.

2.2 By using the Website, you confirm that you accept these terms of use and that you agree to comply with them. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the Website. We recommend that you print a copy of these terms for future reference.

3.1 Anyone is entitled to view any non-password protected parts of the Website and to use for their own purposes the information contained therein, provided:

The works and Materials in the Website are protected by copyright laws and treaties around the world. All such rights are reserved.

4.2 The names, images and logos of The National Police Chief’s Council (NPCC), Victim Support and The Children's Society may not be used without the prior written consent of the relevant rights holder.

4.3 All works in the nature of databases attract database rights in the Website and its content.

4.4 If you print off, copy or download any part of this website in breach of these terms of use, your right to use the Website will cease immediately and you must, at our option, return or destroy any copies of the materials you have made.

 5. Disclaimer

5.1 The Website is intended to provide a platform for information and resources relating to policing and preventing child sexual abuse. Users should seek appropriate advice before taking or refraining from taking any action in reliance on any information contained in this Website. So far as permissible by law, The Norfolk Constabulary does not accept any liability to any person relating to the use of any such information.
Whilst The Norfolk Constabulary and The Children’s Society have taken every precaution in compiling this site neither it nor any contributors to the site can be held responsible for any action (or the lack thereof) taken by any person or organisation wherever they shall be based, as a result, direct or otherwise, on information contained in or accessed through this internet site.

5.2 The Website and material is provided 'as is', without any representation or endorsement made and without warranty of any kind whether express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, compatibility, security and accuracy.

We do not warrant that the functions contained in the material on this site will be uninterrupted, bug free, virus free or error free, that defects will be corrected, or that this site or the server that makes it available are free of viruses or represent the full functionality, accuracy, reliability of the materials.

5.3 The User warrants to The Children’s Society that it will not use the Website, the Material or any part thereof for any purpose that is in contravention of any applicable law or regulation or in a manner that will infringe the copyright, trademarks, service marks or other intellectual property rights of third parties or violate the privacy, publicity or other personal rights of others or in any defamatory, obscene, threatening, abusive or hateful manner. The User shall indemnify The Children’s Society, its employees and agents, harmless against all claims, liability, losses, damages and expenses including, without limitation, legal fees and costs arising out of or incurred as a result of any claims made, or litigation brought, against The Children’s Society, its employees and agents, as a result of the use by the User of the Website, the Material or any part thereof for whatever purpose, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

6. Linking to the Website and Third party websites

6.1 The Website contains links to websites operated by parties other than The Norfolk Constabulary and The Children’s Society. Such links are provided for the User's convenience only. The Norfolk Constabulary nor The Children’s Society do not control such websites, and are not responsible for their content. The Children’s Society inclusion of links to such websites does not imply any endorsement of the material on such websites or any association with their operators. The User is solely responsible for evaluating the accuracy and completeness of any information contained on the third party websites, and also the value and integrity of any goods and services offered by such websites.

 6.2 You may link to our home page, provided you do so in a way that is fair and legal and does not damage our reputation or take advantage of it.

6.3You must not establish a link in such a way as to suggest any form of association, approval or endorsement on our part where none exists.

6.4 You must not establish a link to this Website in any website that is not owned by you. The Website must not be framed on any other site, nor may you create a link to any part of this Website other than the home page.

6.5 We reserve the right to withdraw linking permission without notice.

9.3 Any failure of The Children’s Society to exercise or enforce any of its rights under these terms and conditions shall not be deemed to be a waiver of any such rights or operate so as to bar the subsequent exercise or enforcement or any such rights.

10. Jurisdiction

These terms and conditions and the use by the User of the Website shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales. We and you both agree  hereto submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts in all disputes arising out of or relating to the Website and/or any transactions made on the Website, or these terms and conditions.
